The work is done in Montreal and it will begin ASAP. Beautiful technologies and nice challenge are waiting for you.


In this sector, the architect, Systems Manufacturing, is responsible for defining the target architecture of the different systems used for the manufacturing operations of the factories (ERP, MES, QMS, WMS, etc.). He makes sure to put the target architecture into perspective with the integration architecture of the corporate systems (Finance, T & A, HR, Payroll, etc.). It supports the different efforts of the project teams to help align solutions according to the unique operational context at each plant. He works closely with factory staff to help improve the efficiency of their systems and processes. It also interacts with the various corporate functions (HR, Finance, IT) in order to link their processes and systems with those of the factories.

Implementation of the systems (90% of the work)
o Supports the definition of a strategic roadmap for all systems related to factory operations
o Define a target architecture supporting the strategic roadmap
o Analyze existing operational issues and propose remediation solutions taking into account the architecture defined
o Analyzes manufacturing needs and processes
o Supports project teams in the implementation and configuration of manufacturing operational systems
o Supports corporate teams in integrating systems into factories
o Evaluate solutions offered by software and hardware vendors
o Recommends technological solutions according to target architecture alignment and a business rational including investment costs and operations (CapEx, OpEx)

Support and Operations (10% of the work)
o Acts as a resource for development, implementation and operation groups of systems and solutions in factories and corporate offices

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Academic training
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or any other discipline deemed relevant

Work experience
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, including five (5) as an architect related to the manufacturing sector

Professional skills
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Management (ERP), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and Warehouse Mangement Systems (WMS)
• Experience in defining roadmap and architecture according to corporate strategy
• Experience in the manufacturing industry and production chain, ideally in the "process manfuacturing" based on production revenue.
• Expertise in interviewing, collecting, writing and mapping business processes
• Experience integrating heterogeneous and distributed systems
• Expertise in testing and proof of concepts of new technologies
• Expertise in integration interface development is an asset
• Knowledge of Lean Manfuacturing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement is an asset
• Knowledge or experience with Industry 4.0, IoT technologies is an asset
• Knowledge of the basic principles of management accounting and costing is an asset

Skillset
Required:
