Confidentiality incident

IT Unlock has established a process to handle and manage privacy breaches.

A privacy breach or “confidentiality incident” as referred to in Law 25 refers to the unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure of personal information, triggering reporting and notification obligations if there’s a real risk of significant harm to individuals.

Factors like the sensitivity of the breached information and the probability of misuse determine the risk of harm. IT Unlock will promptly report breaches to the OPC in accordance with the Breach of Security Safeguards Regulations and notify affected individuals unless specified otherwise by law, ensuring clear and informative notifications to help individuals mitigate potential harm.

IT Unlock will maintain a breach log for 24 months post-incident, providing OPC access upon request and implement measures to reduce risks and review practices to prevent future privacy breaches.
